Meet Chef Zoe

Chef Zoe has been cooking ever since she was tall enough to reach the kitchen counter in her family’s New York City galley kitchen. After years of self-guided learning, she earned a Grand Diplome from the International Culinary Center, where she graduated with high honors. Zoe continued learning farm driven fine dining and hospitality at New York’s acclaimed Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Gramercy Tavern. In 2019, Zoe felt called to return to Maine for its abundance of farming and local food products. Upon moving, she found her place in the Portland restaurant industry while cooking at the Honey Paw and Gather Restaurants, as well as grassroots food production spaces like Fork Food Lab and MCHPP. It was during the Covid lockdown that Zoe began exploring the world of private chef-ing and event catering,  working with local companies Fire and Co Catering, 2gether We Cook, and Mangia Kitchen. In 2022. Zoe became the Chef and Owner of ZB Eats LLC. With ZB Eats, Zoe has worked with hundreds of clients bringing their in-home dining visions to life. From casual weeknight dinners and weekly meal preparation to intimate weddings, vacations, film sets, milestone birthdays, and more, Zoe is a master at bringing the highest level culinary services to clients in their homes and habitats. Blending her unique combination of culinary excellence with a warm passion for hospitality, Zoe makes clients feel cared for and deeply nourished. 

Feast in Freedom™ (est. 2026) is Zoe’s personal mission to help everyone eat well, for health, longevity, and maximum enjoyment. She brings her singular experience working with chronic conditions and allergies of all types to each experience, as well as her approach to food as medicine. Feast in Freedom™ is here to serve delicious meals, crafted with intention, and prepared with love. 

In addition to culinary expertise, Zoe holds a BA from Bowdoin College, with majors in Religious Studies and Earth and Oceanographic Science. She is a 500 hr registered yoga and meditation teacher and is pursuing certification in Integrative Nutrition. When she is not cooking, she finds joy in making espresso, reading, tending to her garden, and swimming in Maine’s wild waters with her partner, Bridget.

A Note About Special Diets

Feast in Freedom is a professional endeavor with personal beginnings for Chef Zoe. Having grown up with chronic health issues, Zoe understands deeply the complexity and difficulty of living with chronic illness. She knows firsthand that what you’re eating is a key to how you’re feeling. Zoe has personally lived through many special diets and has helped numerous others on their journeys with them as well. Zoe has maintained a gluten free diet since 2006.
